Server nuked? Get it back.

Channels deleted, roles gone, spam everywhere. Here is how to get your Discord server back for free, whether or not you had a backup.

Stop the attacker

  1. Open Server Settings → Audit Log and find who deleted the channels or roles. It is usually an admin account that was hacked, or a bot someone added.
  2. Ban that account or kick that bot, and take Administrator off any role that shouldn't have it.
  3. Check Server Settings → Integrations for bots or webhooks you don't recognise, and remove them.
  4. If it was your own account, change your Discord password and turn on two-factor authentication before anything else.

I had no backup

CUB PROTECTOR rebuilds deleted channels, categories and roles from your server's audit log, which Discord keeps for 45 days. It works even if you add it after the nuke.

  1. Add CUB PROTECTOR and drag its role to the top of the role list.
  2. On the dashboard, open Modules and switch on Nuke Restore (and Anti-Nuke while you're there).
  3. Run /restore preview hours:24 nuker:@who-did-it to see exactly what would come back. Use a bigger hours if it happened longer ago (up to 1080, which is 45 days).
  4. Run /restore start with the same options, and confirm.
If CUB PROTECTOR was already in your server before the nuke, it also gives members their roles back.

I had a CleanMe backup

A CleanMe save holds your roles, categories, channels and their permissions. Put it back in one command.

  1. Add CleanMe (if it isn't still there) and drag its role to the top.
  2. Run /copy with the server ID or restore code from your save.
  3. Press Preview to see what changes, then go. Replace clears the server first (after a safety backup) and rebuilds it exactly; mode:Add missing only adds what's gone.
No save yet? Make one now with /save, so next time is one command.
[ 03 ] // the mess it left

Clear the spam

Nukes often leave hundreds of junk channels or roles.

  1. If nothing real is left, CleanMe's /cleanchannels keep_channel:#one-channel deletes every channel and category except the one you keep, and /cleanroles does the same for roles. Then restore as above.
  2. If real channels are still mixed in, don't wipe everything: restore with Replace from a CleanMe save, which rebuilds the server as it was.
Both clean commands delete for real. They show what they'll do and ask you to confirm first.
[ 04 ] // never again

Stop the next one

  1. Switch on CUB PROTECTOR's Anti-Nuke: it stops anyone mass-deleting channels, roles, webhooks or emojis, or mass-removing members.
  2. Panic Mode locks the whole server with one command while you deal with it.
  3. Run CleanMe's /save after big changes, so you always have a fresh backup.
  4. Give Administrator to as few people as possible, and only to accounts with two-factor authentication.

Questions

Can I restore a Discord server that was nuked if I had no backup?

Yes, for channels, categories and roles deleted in the last 45 days. CUB PROTECTOR rebuilds them from the server's audit log with /restore, even if you add it after the nuke. Switch on Nuke Restore on its dashboard first.

How do I restore a CleanMe backup?

Run /copy with the server ID or restore code from your /save, press Preview, then confirm.

Can deleted messages be recovered?

No. Discord does not keep deleted messages, so no bot can bring them back. Channels, roles and permissions can be rebuilt.

How do I delete hundreds of spam channels at once?

CleanMe's /cleanchannels deletes every channel and category except one you keep, and /cleanroles does the same for roles. Use them only when nothing real is left.

Is this free?

Yes. CleanMe and CUB PROTECTOR are both free.
